Diego Costa hails the "family" atmosphere at Chelsea after netting seven goals in his first four games at the club.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has talked up the "family" atmosphere at the club and played down the scale of his own personal achievements so far.

The Spain international, who was signed for £32m from Atletico Madrid in the summer, has scored seven goals in four games and was awarded the Player of the Month gong for August.

However, the former Los Rojiblancos forward explained that his teammates have been integral to his early success at Stamford Bridge, after soaring to the top of the Premier League scoring charts.

He told Sky Sports News: "I try to play in the best manner, and hopefully things will continue like this, but there will be a moment when I cannot score. That is football.

"Every striker has their way of playing and their strengths and a different team behind them. That is very important. If you do not have the team behind you, then you can't do things on your own. It all depends on the team.

"I am adapting very well, although it's not just me. The key is the group that we have. It is like a family. The squad and all the people around the team are united in our cause."

Jose Mourinho's side are currently top of the Premier League.
