Didier Drogba: 'Premier League title was inspiration behind comeback'

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba reveals the motivation behind their comeback against Leicester City was the prospect of clinching the Premier League title at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Didier Drogba has revealed that lifting the Premier League title this weekend was the motivation behind Chelsea's comeback as they beat Leicester City 3-1 on Wednesday.

The three points at the King Power Stadium means that victory at home to Crystal Palace this weekend will see Jose Mourinho's men crowned champions, and Drogba said that factor inspired the comeback against the Foxes.

"We wanted to make sure that this game against Crystal Palace was the one that gives us the league, so we fought back and won the game," Drogba told Sky Sports News.

"I think we were maybe scared to win the league. This game was difficult we need to give credit to them, they scored and played well but the second half we came back.

"We don't get enough credit for the work we have been doing. People maybe find us boring because we have been too from day one. It's just one more win and we are nearly there."

The win against Nigel Pearson's side took Chelsea 13 points clear at the top of the table.
