Chelsea match-winner Cesc Fabregas has acknowledged that his side found the conditions tough to take in this afternoon's meeting against Queens Park Rangers.
The Spanish midfielder side-footed the ball beyond Robert Green three minutes from time in West London to secure a 1-0 win for the Premier League leaders.
Jose Mourinho's men are now within four victories of their first title in half a decade, but they were made to do things the hard way at Loftus Road.
"It was very difficult to play," Fabregas told Sky Sports News. "The pitch was very dry, it was windy and not the circumstances we want to play football. But even in the difficult moments we played well."
Next up for Chelsea, who are now seven points clear at the top of the table, is the visit of Manchester United to Stamford Bridge in six days' time.
