John Terry has left Westminster Magistrates' Court following the second day of his racism trial.
The Chelsea skipper has been accused of racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand during a match at Loftus Road last year.
Despite requests from Terry's defence team that the case be ended today, Chief Magistrate Howard Riddle informed the court just after 2pm that proceedings would carry on throughout the afternoon.
That meant that Terry was called into the witness box to give his account of the incident.
The 31-year-old, who denies the charge, will return for a third day in court tomorrow.
