Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has expressed an ambition to win the FIFA Ballon d'Or at some point in the future.
The Frenchman has impressed in his breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge and also earned praise for his versatility, having occasionally plugged gaps in defensive midfield.
Comparisons to France legend and ex-Blues centre-back Marcel Desailly have been made, but the 20-year-old says that he is yet to justify such a praise.
Asked about his Ballon d'Or ambitions, Zouma told Canal +: "Yes, it's a dream for me. I am someone who dreams.
"People often compare me to Marcel Desailly, but he has made his career. This is a football legend. He played in a lot of big games. I have only just arrived and I still have a lot to prove."
Zouma has started 11 Premier League games for the West Londoners this season.
