Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has said that he and his teammates are determined to win the Premier League title this season.
The England international scored twice for the Blues in their 3-0 away victory over West Ham United on Saturday.
"It was very important for us as a team to get back on track," he told Sky Sports News. "We've had a couple of results that we knew if we kept losing silly points it was going to put ourselves out of the race. It was massive there for us today and I'm very pleased to play a part of it.
"I think we've certainly got the capabilities, but the last couple of results have showed us exactly what we don't want to be. We don't want to be that inconsistent team that we've been in the last two or three years in the league.
"I think we still need to improve in little areas, but if we can find that consistency, with the quality we've got in our squad, we're determined to make a big challenge. That's all we can do week by week. We want to win it this year."
Chelsea are currently third in the league table with 24 points from 12 matches.
