Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has insisted that he values winning games and earning points for the Blues over claiming individual records.
Lampard netted his 200th Chelsea goal in this afternoon's 2-0 win over West Ham United to move within two goals of Bobby Tambling's all-time scoring haul at Stamford Bridge.
The 34-year-old is adamant that he would rather keep his focus on the team than his chase to beat Tambling's mark.
He told The Metro: "Everyone keeps talking about the goalscoring record. I would rather people kept quiet.
"The important thing is trying to score goals to win games."
Chelsea went above Tottenham Hotspur into third place and four points behind Manchester City in second with today's victory over the Hammers.
