Chelsea midfielder Victor Moses has said that he only ever held 'a couple of phone conversations' with Jose Mourinho during his second spell at Stamford Bridge.
Moses has established himself as a first-team regular under new boss Antonio Conte but he never featured when Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge in 2013.
Ahead of Chelsea's clash with Mourinho's Manchester United side on Sunday, Moses has revealed that he rarely had contact with the Portuguese, who allowed him to join Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United on season-long loan deals.
The 25-year-old told ESPN: "I thought I did well in my first season here, but due to circumstances – a manager (Rafael Benitez) going, a manager (Mourinho) coming in – I wasn't really given a chance.
"[Mourinho] never spoke to me. I thought in my head, 'He's got his own players already.' I think we chatted a couple of times on the phone – he asked if I was alright at Liverpool, but that was it."
Moses has scored three goals in nine appearances for Chelsea this season.
