Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has denied a charge of improper conduct from the Football Association.
The Portuguese, who has requested a personal hearing, was charged following his side's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on March 15.
Mourinho confronted referee Chris Foy before the full-time whistle at Villa Park after Ramires had been shown a red card for a challenge on Karim El Ahmadi.
An FA spokesman said: "We have received confirmation that Jose Mourinho denies the charge and has requested a personal hearing. The date of this will be set in due course."
Mourinho had until 6pm on Monday to respond to the charge.
