Jose Mourinho: 'I want 20 years managing at the top'

Jose Mourinho warns that he intends to stay at the top of football management for the next 15 to 20 years.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is looking to stay at the top for another 15 to 20 years.

The Portuguese coach, who joined the Blues 10 years ago, has steered the West London club into prime position to win this season's Premier League title.

However, the 51-year-old has warned other managers in the game that he intends to stick around for a long time.

Mourinho is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "For me, the situation is clear. I want to work, 15 or 20 more years at the top. When you reach the top, you want to stay at the top. That's normal.

"If, during this time, I do well enough to stay in a top level club, I will. If I don't do well enough, and my market changes and I only have smaller clubs waiting for me, I will.

"I don't think anyone likes to change from big to smaller, and from big expectations and projects to small ones. But I repeat, I want to work if I'm physically and mentally strong enough – which I expect to be – for another 15 to 20 years."

Chelsea, who top the Premier League by four points, face local rivals Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
