Jose Mourinho: 'We can beat Everton'

Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea to beat Everton and win their remaining home games as the race for the Premier League title continues.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that results in past fixtures do not matter when his side take on Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Mourinho said that he was targeting three points in all remaining home games in order to stay ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title.

"It doesn't matter what happened in the past," he told BBC Sport. "I think we can beat them because we believe in ourselves and we work hard in the week to be in a good position for the match.

"The table is there. You can look at the table and see how it is. We are top but can be second if Man City win the match they have in hand. If we win tomorrow we keep the same position. If we don't beat Everton and lose points at home it's never good."

Chelsea are three points ahead of third-placed City but have an inferior goal difference.
