Dynamo Moscow manager Dan Petrescu has distanced himself from the vacant manager's post at Crystal Palace, insisting that he will see out his contract in the Russian capital.
The Romanian, who made over 150 league appearances for Chelsea between 1995 and 2000, has reportedly been in talks with Palace but now has come out and said that the club were probably speaking to his agent instead of directly to him.
"I have not been in talks with any club being under contract with another outfit," the 45-year-old told Sovetskiy Sport. "And I'm not set to do it in the future. Probably the clubs contacted my agent, not me.
"I love England and I'm really pleased with the fact that English clubs still remember me, but currently a move for me to England is absolutely impossible as I'm still under contract with Dynamo."
Palace are expected to fill the post vacated by Ian Holloway exactly four weeks ago before this weekend's game at Hull City, with Tony Pulis the new favourite for the job.
