Fabio Capello is being lined up as a short-term replacement to manage Chelsea for the rest of the season, according to a report.
The Mirror states that the former England boss is in line to replace Rafael Benitez following a breakdown in the relationship between the Spaniard and the club's supporters.
Capello is currently in charge of Russia, who have fixtures in March against Northern Ireland and Brazil, and any deal to bring him to Chelsea would need to be cleared by the Russian FA.
The deal would be likened to the move to bring Guus Hiddink to Stamford Bridge in 2009 when Chelsea won the FA Cup under his charge.
