Chelsea striker Fernando Torres could reportedly face a four-match suspension for gauging the eye of Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen.
The incident occurred in the second half of the two sides' clash at White Hart Lane when the Spaniard and the defender were involved in an altercation that saw the striker scratch at Vertonghen's face.
Torres received a yellow card for the incident but was later sent off in another altercation with the Dutchman.
However, he could also face an added three-match suspension on top of his one-game ban if the FA deem that he is guilty of violent conduct on review of the incident, as long as referee Mike Dean did not book him for the gauge, reports The Mirror.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho branded Vertonghen a "disgrace" for his part in the sending off of the striker.
