Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Swansea City ball boy Charlie Morgan is a "good boy".
The 17-year-old has received death threats since he appeared to prevent Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard from collecting the ball, which caused the Belgium international to allegedly kick the teen during Wednesday's League Cup semi-final second-leg goalless draw.
While a number of names in football have criticised the youngster, Rodgers, who knows Morgan from his coaching days at the Liberty Stadium, has claimed that plenty of ball boys would have done the same.
"I know Charlie, he's a good boy," Rodgers said in a press conference. "Any manager, player or coach would have wanted their ball boy to do the same. He's a real good boy. Loves his football."
Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp branded Morgan's behaviour "disgusting".
