South Korean company C&P Sports Limited become the latest candidate for the ownership of Premier League club Chelsea.
A deadline of 9pm on Friday has been set for bids to be lodged, something which is expected to lead to a late flurry of approaches as Roman Abramovich moves closer to parting ways with the West London outfit.
As reported by The Independent's Miguel Delaney, sports management business C&P Sports Limited want to rival the offers from elsewhere, wanting to become the first South Korean company to own a European club.
CEO Catalina Kim said: "We are preparing our bid [for Chelsea]. There has never been investment into a top tier football club made by South Korean capital before. It is time for a change."
While the company have a number of offices around the world, their main address is just a mile away from Stamford Bridge.
Bids, many coming in the form of consortiums, have been made from the United Kingdom, United States, Europe and the Middle East. body check tags ::
