Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has said that his side will need to put in their "best performance" in order to beat Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues - top of the Premier League table after five matches - will welcome Man City to Stamford Bridge hoping to record a fourth straight victory over the Citizens in all competitions.

Chelsea beat Pep Guardiola's side in the FA Cup semi-final and Champions League final last term, in addition to recording a 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium in the league.

Tuchel has said that his team 'do not need a miracle to win' but must prepare for "one of the biggest tests in European football" this weekend.

"We know what it takes to win. It does not take a miracle to win but we need our best performance. This is tough and this is maybe the confidence that it gives us. But it will be one of the biggest tests in European football," Tuchel told reporters.

Chelsea are three points clear of fifth-placed Man City in the table, with the reigning champions already dropping five points in the early weeks of the campaign. body check tags ::
