Andre Villas-Boas has admitted for the first time that he is unsure if he has a long-term future as Chelsea manager.
Despite a string of indifferent results, the 34-year-old Portuguese coach has repeatedly maintained that he has the full backing of club owner Roman Abramovich.
However, in a recent interview with Portuguese radio station TSF, the former Porto boss compared his current situation to that of former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti, who was sacked last year.
"We are now in the exact same moment as last year," Villas-Boas said. "It is an exact copy.
"The pattern of behaviour of the owner has led to a [manager's] downfall in similar situations or even 'better' situations.
"What will be the reaction? It will be one of the two, a continuation of the project and full support or just the cultural pattern that has happened before. We don't know."
Chelsea's talismanic midfielder Frank Lampard recently spoke of the unideal relationship he has with Villas-Boas.
