Bertrand Traore, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah scored the goals as Chelsea recorded a 3-0 win over Austrian side RZ Pellets WAC in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.
In the RZ Pellets XI was 23-year-old Austrian forward Philipp Prosenik, who spent three years with Chelsea's academy between 2009 and 2012 before joining Italian giants AC Milan.
Chelsea had two golden chances to take the lead in the opening 13 minutes, but Victor Moses hit the post with a low strike, before Bernard Traore clipped over from close range after a cut-back from Moses.
The home side were a threat themselves, however, and Zundel Thomas sent a powerful effort swinging wide of the post in what was a lively opening to the pre-season clash in Austria.
Opportunities dried up as the first period entered its latter stages, but the pace of the match was still high and Papy Djilobodji headed straight at Alexander Kofler 10 minutes before the end of the opening half of action.
Chelsea eventually made the breakthrough in the 40th minute when Nemanja Matic found Willian in a wide position and the Brazilian's low cross was turned into the back of the net from close range by Traore.
The Premier League side might have scored a second in the latter stages of the half when Spanish forward Diego Costa sent one towards the bottom corner, but his effort was saved by Kofler.
RZ Pellets should have been level in the 55th minute when Dario Baldauf met a corner from the left, but the number seven somehow headed wide of the post from close range.
Michy Batshuayi, on for his first Chelsea appearance, was sent through by fellow substitute Loftus-Cheek just before the hour and looked to release a strike, but Nemanja Rnic was across to make a strong challenge.
Matic had a half-chance for the English club 20 minutes from time after more smart work from Moses, but instead of shooting, the midfielder looked for the cross and the ball was just deflected wide of the post.
Batshuayi had another excellent opportunity in the 76th minute after rounding Kofler, but the striker just took the ball too wide and instead set up Moses, whose powerful effort was blocked on the line by Augustin.
Chelsea continued to create openings in the latter stages and they had their second in the 84th minute when Loftus-Cheek headed a whipped corner into the back of the net from close range, before Chalobah made it three in the 90th minute with an individual effort.
Next up for Chelsea is a International Champions Cup match against Premier League rivals Liverpool on Thursday in California, while RZ Pellets will begin their 2016-17 league season against Rheindorf Altach this weekend.
