Chelsea cruise to a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur to maintain their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Chelsea have cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge to maintain their unbeaten record in the Premier League.

Spurs made a strong start to the match against the unbeaten league leaders, but Harry Kane missed the chance to open the scoring when he headed the ball onto the crossbar from an Aaron Lennon cross.

The home side were in front with less than 20 minutes played though, as Eden Hazard squeezed the ball in from a tight angle to beat Hugo Lloris at the near post.

It took Jose Mourinho's men just three minutes to double their lead as a poor clearance from Lloris gave the ball back to Hazard, and he passed to Oscar, who found Didier Drogba to smash the ball in from close range.

The visitors had a chance to get one back before the break when Ben Davies ran towards the Chelsea goal before pulling the ball back for Ryan Mason, but the midfielder's effort from the edge of the box was straight to Thibaut Courtois.

Tottenham tried their luck from distance shortly after the restart as Christian Eriksen attempted a drive from 25 yards out, but it failed to trouble Courtois.

Spurs had a corner shortly after the hour mark as they continued to try to find a way back into the match, but Jan Vertonghen's headed effort flew well over.

Oscar and Hazard continued to look dangerous on the attack for Chelsea, and the duo created a chance to seal the win, with Drogba getting the final touch, but the striker's finish lacked power and was easily held by Lloris.

The home side did put the win beyond doubt shortly after as Loic Remy came off the bench to slot the ball into the bottom corner, beating Vertonghen with a run into the box.

Nabil Bentaleb had a chance to add a late consolation for Tottenham, but his ambitious shot from 25 yards out ended up in the stand.

Willian could have had a fourth for Chelsea in stoppage time, but his finishing touch lacked power, leaving Lloris with an easy stop.

The result allows Chelsea to keep their 100% record at home in the league this season, and leaves them six points clear at the top of the table, while Spurs sit 10th.
