The agent of Emerson Palmieri has confirmed that Chelsea are interested in signing the Roma defender, who 'dreams' of working under boss Antonio Conte.
Palmieri is one of the Blues' priority signings for the remaining fortnight of the January transfer window, seen as an ideal option to provide some cover at left wing-back.
Representative Fernando Garcia says that talks are now underway over a potential £20m transfer - a third of the fee Juventus wanted for Alex Sandro - and Palmieri is keen to finalise a move so that he can link up with Conte.
"Chelsea are a concrete possibility, absolutely. Now the two clubs are talking, we'll see if they reach a positive conclusion," Garcia told Calciomercato.
"Obviously, Emerson would love to play in the Premier League and it'd be a dream to work with Conte, as he is among the best coaches in the world."
Palmieri, who switched international allegiance from Brazil to Italy last year, has just 16 minutes of Serie A action under his belt this term.
