Barcelona are reportedly unwilling to meet the current contract demands of goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Since moving to Camp Nou in 2014, Ter Stegen has made 224 appearances in all competitions, establishing himself as one of the top stoppers in world football.
According to Goal.com, the 27-year-old wants that status to be rewarded with a significant pay rise, making him the second highest earner at the Catalan giants.
However, the report adds that the La Liga leaders have no intention of agreeing to Ter Stegen's request of wanting a contract worth £13m per year.
Although the Germany international still has over two years remaining on his existing deal, the lack of progress in negotiations will inevitably alert other clubs.
Chelsea have recently been linked with a move for Ter Stegen as they consider potential replacements for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
