Barcelona have reportedly agreed a deal in principle to sign Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta as a free agent this summer.
The 32-year-old has entered the final six months of his deal at Stamford Bridge, and the club are unable to extend his stay while sanctions on owner Roman Abramovich remain in place.
A recent report claimed that Azpilicueta had already agreed an extension with Chelsea, but as things stand he is set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Barcelona have been strongly linked with a move for the Spain international, and Football Insider reports that La Blaugrana have now struck an agreement to sign him in the summer.
The report adds that Azpilicueta has turned down offers of a new deal from Chelsea, with the ex-Marseille man now set to leave the European champions after 10 years in West London.
Azpilicueta has won the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Club World Cup during his decade at Chelsea, registering 16 goals and 56 assists from 463 games in all competitions.
