Barcelona are reportedly exploring the possibility of a swap deal involving Philippe Coutinho and Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Coutinho is due to return to Camp Nou this summer following a loan spell at Bayern Munich, but the Brazil international is widely expected to leave the Spanish champions on a permanent deal.
Chelsea are one of a number of clubs to be credited with an interest in the attacker, who has found it difficult to show his best form for Barca since arriving from Liverpool in January 2018.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants will attempt to use the English side's interest in Coutinho to move for Blues midfielder Kante during this summer's transfer window.
The France international - also linked with Real Madrid and Juventus - has only made 18 Premier League appearances for Frank Lampard's side this season having struggled with injuries.
The report claims that Barca are huge admirers of the 2018 World Cup winner and are expected to be in the market for a new midfielder this summer due to the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.
Kante famously helped Leicester City win the 2015-16 Premier League title before joining Chelsea, where he has landed one Premier League crown, one FA Cup and the Europa League trophy.
