Barcelona have reportedly offered Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta a two-year contract to make the move to the Catalan club on a free transfer this summer.
The 32-year-old has been a key player for the Blues during the 2021-22 campaign, making 30 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and three assists in the process.
Azpilicueta's contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire at the end of June, though, and Barcelona are said to be desperate to bring him to Camp Nou ahead of next season.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have offered the Spain international a two-year deal with the option to extend for a further season.
Romano claims that Azpilicueta is yet to make a decision on his future, and Chelsea are still hopeful that he will sign an extension with the European Cup holders.
The versatile defender has made 459 appearances for the Blues in all competitions since arriving from Marseille, contributing 15 goals and 56 assists in the process.
Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in his services over the last few weeks. body check tags ::
