Chelsea have reportedly been dealt a blow in the efforts to sign Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Having starred for the Dutch giants over the past two seasons, Onana has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard considers replacing Kepa Arrizabalaga.
However, Barcelona, a former club of the Cameroon international, are also in the running for the stopper ahead of the next transfer window.
According to Sport, the 24-year-old prefers a reunion with the Catalan giants, whom he represented for five years during his youth days.
The report claims that Ajax want to recoup £35m, a fee which Barcelona may be prepared to pay should they fail to agree a new contract with Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Over the weekend, it was reported that the La Liga leaders had made little progress in negotiations with their long-time number one.
