Man United transfer news: Three Red Devils to leave Old Trafford in 2025?

:Headline: Man United transfer news: Three Red Devils to leave Old Trafford in 2025?:
Manchester United are reportedly preparing to part ways with three first-team stars in 2025 following the appointment of new head coach Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offload Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof during 2025.

The Red Devils are set for a period of serious change during the midst of the 2024-25 campaign following the sacking of former manager Erik ten Hag.

Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim was swiftly appointed as the Dutchman's successor at the Theatre of Dreams, where Man United will face PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The new head coach will officially assume the role on November 11, with a fortnight of lead up to his first competitive match in charge of the club at Portman Road versus Ipswich Town on November 24.

Man United are currently enduring their worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign after collecting 12 points from 10 matches, meaning that they are languishing down in 13th position in the league standings.

Man United trio to leave Old Trafford in 2025?

According to Football Insider, Manchester United could be preparing for a major clearout as a new era in the managerial hotseat begins under Portuguese tactician Amorim.

The report claims that centre-back trio Maguire, Evans and Lindelof could all be set for exits from the Theatre of Dreams during either the January or summer transfer windows.

It is understood that Amorim wants to sprinkle his own touch on the Man United backline, with Sporting Lisbon stars Ousmane Diomande and Goncalo Inacio already linked to the 20-time English champions.

Englishman Maguire, Northern Ireland legend Evans and Swedish superstar Lindelof will come to the end of their current deals at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

Despite rumours surrounding his future, former Leicester City man Maguire supposedly has no intention of leaving the Red Devils in the New Year.

Man United's centre-back options

Since the dismissal of misfiring Ten Hag last month, Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt have formed the preferred centre-back pairing for interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy.

United also have a high-profile summer arrival yet to play for the club in a competitive match, with Leny Yoro recovering from a broken foot sustained during pre-season.

Once the 18-year-old Frenchman has returned, it is hard to envisage the likes of Maguire and Lindelof earning a spot in Amorim's defence, even if the Portuguese decides to operate with a back-three system.
