Chelsea will reportedly pay Rennes just over £20m for goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
The 28-year-old is believed to have said goodbye to his Rennes teammates on Friday, with his agent confirming on Thursday that a deal was close to being completed.
There was some confusion over whether the Blues had actually agreed a transfer fee with the French outfit, who were said to be holding out for £25m.
However, according to The Telegraph, Frank Lampard's side will pay just over £20m for the stopper, who is expected to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga as the club's new number one.
The Senegal international joined Rennes from Reims last summer and made 33 appearances for the Red and Blacks during the 2019-20 campaign, keeping 13 clean sheets.
Chelsea will be looking to make it back-to-back wins at the start of the 2020-21 Premier League campaign when they welcome Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
