Chelsea have completed the signing of Baba Rahman from Augsburg for an undisclosed fee.
The Ghana international had been strongly linked with a move to the Blues as cover for the recently-departed Filipe Luis.
Premier League champions Chelsea have now confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Augsburg over the transfer of the full-back, having reportedly been told to up their initial bid.
Rahman, who will rival Cesar Azpilicueta for a first-team berth at Stamford Bridge, admits to being excited about the new challenge in his career.
"I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I can't wait to train with my new team-mates and very much looking forward to working with them and Mr. Mourinho," he told Chelsea's official website.
"I am also looking forward to having the opportunity to meet the fans as soon as possible."
Rahman spent two years with Greuther Furth in Germany, before joining Augsburg last summer.
