Chelsea are reportedly still interested in a summer deal for experienced attacker Dries Mertens.
The 32-year-old's current deal with Napoli is due to expire at the end of June.
Chelsea were linked with Mertens during the January transfer window, but the deadline passed with the Belgium international still with his Italian club.
The attacker is due to become a free agent on June 30, though, and according to Il Mattino, Frank Lampard's side are still weighing up a move.
Mertens, who is also believed to be attracting the attention of Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, has scored 12 times and registered six assists in 29 appearances for Napoli during the 2019-20 campaign.
As it stands, Chelsea will lose both Willian and Pedro on free transfers ahead of next season.
