Nantes have announced that defender Papy Djilobodji has left the club to sign a four-year contract at Chelsea.
On Monday, reports emerged that Chelsea had targeted Djilobodji after failing with multiple bids to sign Everton defender John Stones, and the Ligue 1 outfit have confirmed that the Senegalese international has left for Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are yet to officially announce the transfer, but it is believed that the 27-year-old has signed a deal until 2019.
Djilobodji, who had less than a year remaining on his contract at Nantes, made 32 appearances for his former club in all competitions last season.
