Chelsea have reportedly identified Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic as a potential transfer target.
Earlier this week, it was suggested that Chelsea's transfer plans had been left in disarray, with the Blues still to make an official decision over the future of head coach Antonio Conte.
Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to eventually replace Conte and according to Corriere dello Sport, the Blues have reacted by considering a move for a player who has spent much of his career in Serie A.
Pjanic has enjoyed an excellent two years in Turin, with 14 goals being scored in 89 appearances in all competitions, while the Bosnia-Herzegovina international still has three years remaining on his contract.
However, Barcelona have already been credited with an interest in the 28-year-old, and it appears that Chelsea are ready to rival the Catalan giants as they look to strengthen in the middle of the park.
The report has suggested that Juventus will demand in the region of £70m to part ways with Pjanic.
