Chelsea reportedly have no intention of allowing Timo Werner to leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.
The former RB Leipzig striker has largely struggled to adapt to English football since his arrival last year, registering just five goals in 28 Premier League appearances for the Blues, including one in his last 20 top-flight outings.
Amid speculation surrounding a move for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland, a recent report claimed that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was keen to strike a swap deal with the Black and Yellow involving Werner.
However, The Telegraph reports that there have been no discussions between the powers-that-be at Chelsea over Werner's possible departure, and as things stand he will remain at Stamford Bridge for the 2021-22 campaign.
However, if Dortmund did make it clear that Werner was a target for them, Chelsea would reportedly then be open to the idea of a part-exchange deal for the highly sought-after Haaland.
Despite largely struggling to make a name for himself in the Premier League, Werner boasts a respectable tally of 10 goals and 10 assists from 39 matches in all competitions this season, although Chelsea are still expected to pursue a new frontman amid links with Haaland and Romelu Lukaku. body check tags ::
