Chelsea are reportedly in talks with experienced goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey over the possibility of a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
The 34-year-old is currently available on a free transfer, having left Crystal Palace following the expiration of his contract with the Premier League outfit.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, the Blues have held talks with Hennessey, with the London club keen to sign a new number three following Willy Caballero's departure.
Phillips claims that the Wales international is seen as the ideal player to boost the goalkeeping department next season, having played 181 times in the Premier League.
Edouard Mendy is currently the number one for the Champions League holders, with Kepa Arrizabalaga dropping down to second choice following the former's arrival.
Hennessey made 132 appearances for Palace before leaving the Eagles on a free transfer. body check tags ::
