Chelsea are reportedly ready to try again for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele in the summer following a failed deadline day move.

The former Borussia Dortmund man was heavily expected to leave Camp Nou over the winter window after entering the final six months of his deal with Xavi's side.

Following the news of his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain falling through, Dembele was linked with an audacious late switch to Chelsea, although a deal did not materialise.

The 24-year-old is therefore set to see out the season with La Blaugrana, but Sky Sports News claims that Chelsea still intend to secure his services this summer.

Dembele will be free to walk away from Barcelona for nothing at the end of the season, five years after the Catalan giants forked out £126m to sign him from Dortmund.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were also credited with a late interest in the France international, who has scored one goal and set up two more in 11 appearances during an injury-hit 2021-22 season. body check tags ::
