Chelsea have reportedly placed Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer on their shortlist as they consider strengthening their backline in January.
On Monday, the Premier League leaders were dealt a blow when Leonardo Bonucci penned a new contract with Juventus, but it appears that boss Antonio Conte is considering his options ahead of the next transfer window.
It has been claimed that the Blues are keeping an eye on Roma's Antonio Rudiger but according to ESPN, the West London outfit have made contact with Fenerbahce over a potential move for Kjaer.
The Danish international has long been on the radar of some of European football's biggest clubs but he is currently just 18 months into a five-year deal with the Turkish giants.
It has been suggested that the 27-year-old is currently settled at the club, while Fenerbahce are unlikely to entertain any bids that fall below the €15m (£12.8m) mark.
