Chelsea are plotting a £30m swoop for Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony after veteran Blues forward Didier Drogba recommended him to the club.
The 26-year-old is believed to have caught the eye of Manchester City and Liverpool in recent months after scoring 20 goals for the South Wales outfit in 2014.
However, the Daily Star claims that Chelsea are ready to make a bid for the Swansea frontman, but could wait until the summer to get their man.
While City and Liverpool are thought to be looking for attacking recruits in January, Jose Mourinho is believed to be happy enough with his forward options for the time being and will offer Loic Remy as part of any deal when Swansea are ready to do business.
Chelsea scout Mick Doherty is reported to have watched the Ivorian striker during the Swans' 4-1 defeat at Liverpool over Christmas.
