Chelsea have offered to pay Roma £26m for striker Edin Dzeko, according to a report.
The 31-year-old is at the centre of talks between the two clubs over a January switch as the Blues seek to recruit a target man.
However, Roma director of football Monchi claimed on Wednesday that no satisfactory offers had been received for Dzeko, who scored a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Sampdoria.
According to Sky Sports News, the former Manchester City forward is also understood to want a basic salary of £90,000 a week, and a contract to run until the summer of 2021.
Chelsea have been linked with the likes of West Ham United forward Andy Carroll and Ashley Barnes of Burnley during the January transfer window.
