Chelsea have reportedly opened the door for midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko to leave the club.
The Frenchman arrived from Monaco in a £40m deal in 2017, having been part of the side that won the league ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and made it to the Champions League semi-finals, but he has struggled since arriving in London.
Monaco are now in talks to bring the midfielder back to Ligue 1 in a potential loan deal, having identified their former player as an option alongside AC Milan's Franck Kessie, according to The Mirror.
Bakayoko spent last season on loan in Milan and played alongside Kessie, but the Ivorian, who is being pursued on a permanent transfer, has wage demands that Monaco view as excessive.
As a result, the principality club are back in for Bakayoko after seeing an earlier approach turned down.
