Chelsea are reportedly yet to make a decision on whether to turn Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic's loan deal into a permanent transfer.
The Croatia international made 51 appearances for the Blues in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.
Despite their two-window transfer ban for breaching rules over youth signings, the Blues have been given the green light to add Kovacic to their squad should they wish.
Maurizio Sarri's departure last week has left the 25-year-old's future in limbo, however, with Goal.com reporting that Chelsea have just one week left to decide whether to trigger the right-to-buy clause in his contract.
Kovacic is rumoured to be one of 13 players Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane deems surplus to requirements, along with the likes of Dani Ceballos and Gareth Bale.
