Vitesse have agreed to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Eduardo on a season-long loan deal.
Chelsea and Vitesse have a long-standing partnership with the Blues, having sent a number of younger players on loan to the Dutch club in the past.
However, 35-year-old Eduardo will now be given the chance to gain first-team football with the Eredivisie outfit after two years at Stamford Bridge without making an appearance.
Goal.com claims that Eduardo's desire to become a coach in future years could be part of the agreement, with Chelsea agreeing to pay the veteran's wages.
Young English defender Jake Clarke-Salter has already made the switch to Vitesse on a similar deal.
