Chelsea are set to back Thomas Tuchel with new signings this summer according to a report.

The club had a quiet window in winter after signing Romelu Lukaku before the start of the season, but the German is set to be given options ahead of the next campaign.

Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League, while they have just won the Club World Cup, and they have the opportunity to add more silverware later this month when they face Liverpool in the EFL Cup final.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues are set to back Tuchel in the summer transfer market as a way of rewarding him for not pushing for signings in January which would have been deemed as 'unnecessary.'

The defending European Champions did not sign anybody during the most recent market, but they could be set for a busy one, as up to 10 players could be set to leave.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are taking a look at three players in particular, with Jules Kounde, Declan Rice and Aurelien Tchouameni all being targets for the Blues.
