Chelsea have reportedly turned to Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani in their hunt for a new prolific striker.
The Blues are believed to have a number of targets in mind to lead their line for the second half of the season and beyond, including Gonzalo Higuain and Callum Wilson of AC Milan and Bournemouth respectively.
With doubts over the availability of both those players, though, The Express suggests that Chelsea will now push ahead with a £50m offer for Cavani.
Maurizio Sarri is said to be willing to offload six or seven fringe players this month alone to help fund a deal, with the aim of remodelling his squad before the end of the year.
Cavani has netted 336 goals in 547 senior appearances for Danubio, Palermo, Napoli and PSG, 126 of those coming in five-and-a-half years in Ligue 1.
Chelsea currently have Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud as their strike options, though Sarri has preferred to use wideman Eden Hazard through the middle instead in recent weeks for his low-scoring side.
