Roma are reportedly preparing to hand Kostas Manolas a new contract amid interest from Chelsea.
Manolas, 27, has been with Roma for the last four years, making more than 180 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions.
Juventus and Bayern Munich are believed to be admirers of the Greece international, while Chelsea were linked with the central defender earlier this year.
Manolas's current contract includes a release clause of £31.5m, and it is understood that a number of clubs are lining up January bids.
However, according to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are in the process of drawing up a fresh contract for Manolas, which will include a pay rise in addition to erasing the current release clause.
Arsenal reportedly tried and failed to sign Manolas during this year's January transfer window.
