Chelsea are reportedly planning to offer striker Romelu Lukaku a new contract after the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
The Belgium international has not figured in manager Jose Mourinho's plans since the Portuguese coach returned to Stamford Bridge last summer.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Everton, which prompted rumours that the forward could be on his way out of Chelsea on a permanent basis.
However, according to The Express, the Blues are keen to preserve Lukaku's transfer value by offering him an extension to his current contract, which has two years left to run.
Reports have claimed that Chelsea could be willing to send the striker out on another loan move next season, with Everton believed to be interested in securing the player's services.
