Chelsea have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to complete the signing of Metz striker Habib Diallo ahead of the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old, who came through the academy at Metz, has scored eight goals from 12 Ligue 1 appearances this term.
It is claimed that a host of Premier League clubs, including Leicester City and Newcastle, have been keeping a close eye on the progress of Diallo.
According to TEAMtalk, sources close to the player claim that Chelsea are also interested in the striker.
The Blues are said to be confident that an appeal against their current transfer ban, set to be heard by the Court of Arbitration on November 20, will be successful, meaning that Frank Lampard's side can do deals in January.
Should the ruling go their way, Chelsea will reportedly place primary emphasis on signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is valued at £70m.
