Chelsea are reportedly ready to test Borussia Dortmund's resolve by making a huge £135m offer for top target Erling Braut Haaland.
The Blues are rumoured to have made signing the Norway international their main priority for the remainder of the summer transfer window.
Haaland scored 41 goals in 41 appearances for BVB last season and is attracting interest from a number of other elite clubs across the continent.
A £68m release clause in Haaland's contract does not come into play until next year, meaning that Dortmund can still demand a huge fee for the prolific striker.
Chelsea are said to be prepared to match the Bundesliga club's valuation, with former Norwegian striker Jan Aage Fjortoft claiming that a nine-figure bid will soon be made.
"Chelsea have him as their main target," Fjortoft told ESPN. "They would like to test Dortmund with a fantasy offer.
"A fantasy offer will be around €150m (£135m) - double what they can get for him next summer."
Speaking last week, Haaland hinted that he is ready to spend the 2021-22 campaign with Dortmund, who are now managed by his former Red Bull Salzburg boss Marco Rose.
