Having been eliminated from the Champions League on Saturday evening, Chelsea can now focus on making more changes to their first-team squad.
With Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner having already been brought in as replacements for Willian and Pedro, Frank Lampard is expected to make more high-profile alternations in the near future.
However, with 54 goals having been conceded in the Premier League this season, the Blues boss cannot afford to focus purely on the final third of the pitch.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Kai Havertz to leave Bayer Leverkusen for Chelsea after Europa League?
Since the beginning of July, Chelsea have been heavily linked with the signing of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz.
However, despite suggestions that the Germany international wants to move to Stamford Bridge, his club have maintained that their star man would not be allowed to leave until after the Europa League.
On Monday evening, the Bundesliga outfit suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan, in the process ending their 2019-20 campaign.
According to Sky Sports News journalist Kaveh Solhekol, that should speed up the process of a transfer being finalised, providing that Chelsea are prepared to meet Leverkusen's £90m asking price.
Liverpool, Chelsea 'dealt blow in Ben White chase'
With at least one new centre-back now a priority for Lampard, it has been claimed that Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White is very much on the Englishman's radar.
Despite having never made an appearance in the Premier League, Chelsea are allegedly prepared to spend £40m on the former Leeds United loanee.
However, despite a willingness to meet Brighton's valuation, The Sun claims that Chelsea will be denied the chance to sign the 22-year-old.
The report suggests that Graham Potter will look to part ways with Shane Duffy in order to find a place for White in his first-team squad.
Chelsea, Barcelona to battle for Nicolas Tagliafico?
As well as the middle of the defence, the left-back position has also proven to be a problem area for Lampard since his arrival last summer.
While Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri have held onto the position at various points this season, neither player is regarded as a long-term option.
According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea are ready to make a strong effort to secure the signature of Nicolas Tagliafico, who will be allowed to depart Ajax for the right price.
However, the report adds that Barcelona are also in the hunt for the Argentina international as they look for competition for Jordi Alba.
