Chelsea would be in the race for Antoine Griezmann if it became apparent that the forward was interested in leaving Atletico Madrid, according to a report.
Griezmann renewed his Atletico contract in June off the back of an impressive two seasons with the Spanish giants, scoring 57 times in 108 appearances since making the move from Real Sociedad.
However, it has been reported that Manchester United are prepared to smash the world transfer record once again in order to sign the 25-year-old, and according to The Telegraph, Chelsea would join their Premier League rivals in the hunt.
The same report claims that the Blues have tracked Griezmann, who has a buy-out clause in the region of £84m, for more than two years.
Earlier this week, the France international revealed that he would consider his future at the Vicente Calderon if Atletico boss Diego Simeone were to depart.
