Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to reunite with Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso at San Siro this summer.
The Spaniard was a regular starter in Conte's system during his time in West London and has enjoyed a recent resurgence under Thomas Tuchel, but he has struggled to displace Ben Chilwell on the left-hand side for the majority of the 2020-21 campaign.
Meanwhile, Inter left-back Ashley Young is being tipped to return to Watford at the end of the current campaign, meaning that Conte is expected to be in the market for a new wide man in the upcoming summer window.
According to Todofichajes, the Inter boss is therefore keen to prise Alonso away from Stamford Bridge, and the 30-year-old would welcome a reunion with his former manager in Serie A.
The report adds that Inter first made contact with Chelsea over a deal for Alonso last summer, and the Nerazzurri are confident that they can secure his services this time around.
Alonso struck a late winner in Chelsea's recent 2-1 victory over Manchester City, but he has started just 11 Premier League games for the Blues this term. body check tags ::
